Centurion Foundation and CharterCARE secured their STATE MONEY.
Then immediately turned their backs on Rhode Islanders.
Centurion CEO Ben Mingle & Chartercare CEO Jeff Liebman made false promises to GET $18 MILLION in taxpayer money.
What they said (in writing):
They said there were “significant initiatives planned to position the new CharterCARE system for ongoing success,” like investing “$100,000” in home health care.
They also said that they planned “significant outreach to the community to promote access to home health services.”
They said they would be “transforming union relationships to allow for collaborative improvement initiatives”, “maintaining staffing level ratios”, and “designing competitive wage and benefit programs” for workers.
What they did:
Ben Mingle and Jeff Liebman recently sent their management negotiating team to negotiations with workers to tell them they’re closing home health, leaving some home health care employees in the lurch and their patients having to seek home health care services elsewhere. And they’re now going on 5 months of negotiations without offering health care workers a fair contract.
What other promises will they break?
What other services will they cut?
